Anatoliy Kim is from Kazakhstan, where he studied transportation technology at Karaganda State Technical University before getting his MFA in filmmaking from New York Film Academy.
Susie Kim is from LA, and she studied molecular & cellular biology at Harvard University (along with film and animation) before getting her MS in computer science from the University of Chicago.
While we were both in engineering, deep down, we always had a passion for storytelling. And one day, we decided that life was far too short for us not to do what we loved: creating and sharing stories.
We are a happy family of four, and we often joke that we are still in our honeymoon stage. Our love for each other and our family is what makes us still hopeless romantics, and we believe in capturing bespoke, genuine emotions, because these little and big moments make life so special.
Our Non-Intrusive Approach
We know firsthand how special every love story is—especially after planning our own wedding. That’s why we take a personal and intentional approach to every photo and film we create. Our goal is to craft something that feels true to you—something that captures your connection, your energy, and the story that makes your day yours.
On the wedding day, we move between being invisible observers and gentle guides. During intimate and emotional moments— family interactions, ceremony, speeches, etc. —we stay in the background, allowing things to happen naturally while we quietly capture the emotion and meaning behind them. When it’s time for portraits, we bring in a more filmic and editorial touch, giving direction only as much as you need, so everything still feels real and effortless.
In the end, our work is about more than beautiful images. It’s about storytelling—creating photos and films that feel alive, that let you relive not just how everything looked, but how it felt. With Anatoliy’s background in directing and cinematography, and Susie’s background in illustration and more than ten years of creative experience, every image is crafted with intention and artistry, blending honest storytelling with timeless visuals.
